The Gast 0523 Rotary Vane Septic Air Compressor is designed for use in NSF Class 1 Standard 40 aerobic treatment units (ATUs), typically rated for 500–750 gallons per day (GPD).
In addition to its use in wastewater treatment systems, the Gast 0523 compressor is also widely utilized in pond aeration applications. Thanks to its capability to run continuously at 10.0 psi, it can deliver air to depths of 15–18 feet—significantly deeper than linear diaphragm pumps, which are generally limited to depths of 6–8 feet.
