Product Description

The Virtis Cyclone IQ2 homogenizer is used for the homogenization of biological tissue (plant and animal), dispersion, emulsification, and general mixing of solids in liquid. It has variable speed control to facilitate reproducible processing rates. Drive motor is removable for hand-held use. Unit is furnished with a sturdy, posi-balanced support stand. Cyclone IQ2 offers additional powerful and easy-to-use features. The Sentry microprocessor can be programmed to control process speed and processing/run time with storage of up to 16 user-defined protocols. It has a pause timer with audible and visible pre-start alarm as well as Softstart technology that eliminates starting surges and potential splashing. Operations are controlled from the membrane panel or remotely from a PC through the integral RS-232 port. Optional Plexus software (for IQ2 units) facilitates user-defined remote operation and data logging. Acoustically insulated enclosure surrounds drive motor and holds sound levels below 70dB, even at full speed.

IMPORTANT: Stainless steel rotors/stators are available separately (NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING) and provide fine homogenization, particle size reduction, dispersion, and emulsification. Processing Rate: 5,000 to 30,000 rpm. Sample Volume (HandiShear): 0.2 to 2,000 mL. Sample Volume: 0.5-2,000 mL. As when sold new, processing attachments/generators are sold separately.
