The Thermo IEC Centra CL2 Centrifuge is a small compact format benchtop centrifuge, with everyday, easy-to-use operation. This lightweight tabletop centrifuge takes up just a 13 x 16” footprint on the lab bench, yet delivers up to 4770 x g, rotor dependent. The user-friendly control panel allows users to input desired speed rapidly, in 100 rpm increments, and time between 5 seconds up to 99 min 99 seconds, or Hold for continuous operation. The timer function won’t begin until the desired speed is reached, ensuring consistency from run to run.

This benchtop centrifuge has a variety of safety and time-saving features and is compatible with a wide range of swing buckets and fixed-angle rotors with a large array of adapters for a flexible option. The IEC Centra Cl2 is high capacity despite its small footprint, spinning up to 28 x 5/7 mL (13 mm) blood tubes and 8 x 50 mL conical.  The motor of this benchtop centrifuge is brushless induction, which makes it virtually maintenance-free and won’t cast carbon dust into the room.
