Temperatures between 200 and 700 Centigrades can be set in advance by turning a regulator knob until the indicator points to the desired setting where it will be maintained automatically. The thermostat is of the indirect Make-and-Break type and has an operating sensitivity of 0.25 Centigrades.

All contacts are outside the chamber and designed to eliminate arcing.
