This listing is for a Rare 1900's Vintage Original LOT OF 3 MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION PHARMACY RECEIPT DOCTOR ROSTER BOOK as can be seen in the pictures.
These three books came from GREENE PHARMACY IN BRATTLEBORO, VT and span from the early 1900's to the late 1990's
"George Greene opened his pharmacy in 1878. Wilfred Root had started as a clerk in Greene’s Pharmacy in 1887 and passed the Massachusetts board of pharmacy examinations in 1892…(there were no Vt. examinations at the time). Wilfred Root bought the pharmacy at the time of Greene’s death in 1909 and the business became Root's Pharmacy. Wilfred’s son, Ralph Root became a partner in 1921."
In 1930 Reuben Brown and Hugh Densmore, both pharmacists, bought the pharmacy from the estate of Ralph Root. In 1936 Reuben Brown took sole ownership of the business. His son, Maynard Brown, operated the business for more than 50 years, passing away in 1990.

Each book measures approximately 17" X 6" X 10".
These Book are COMPLETE with all pages.
There is normal wear on the Outside Binding of all of them. One of them the outside binding for the front and back covers are coming apart as you can see in the pictures but inside the pages hold together well.
In the other two books the binding still holds the front and back covers and the inside pages all hold together as can be seen in the pictures.
We did not do any restoration to them, they are being sold as shown in the pictures.
Each one of these books is very heavy also.
