This listing is for an unknown working condition POWERTECH PT8KS1-2D 8KW DIESEL GENERATOR with a 50-GALLON ALUMINUM OIL TANK as can be seen in the pictures.
We received this unit from a Federal University which doesn't know it's condition since it's been sitting in storage for at least four years and that's why we are selling it under an AS IS NO RETURN condition. Nevertheless we did plug it into our 220 volt outlet, we did see that there were four wires on it, we don't know what the second black wire is but the tag does say it is a 220 Volt and also that it is a 1 Phase unit so we powered it on and it seems to want to start but then the breaker stops the motor so we don't know how to test it any further and that is why we are selling it under an as is no return condition. Could be a simple issue, we have no way of knowing unfortunately. We do know POWERTECH is still strong so it should provide any information or assistance buyer may need as to how to power this unit on. We wouldn't know how to do the handy work on it to make it work since we're all retirees and busy volunteers trying to build a school at a distressed community here. We received it as a donation to our project from a Federal university and want to sell it fast so don't miss this opportunity since this unit will definitely sell fast.
