MEDGRAPHICS CARDIORESPIRATORY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS ELITE DX BODY PLETHYSMOGRAPH

DX (Spirometry,TGV,Raw,DLco,MIP/MEP) AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES.

Pulmonary plethysmographs are commonly used to measure the functional residual capacity (FRC) of the lungs—the volume in the lungs when the muscles of respiration are relaxed—and total lung capacity.

In a traditional plethysmograph such as the one listed here, the test subject is placed inside a sealed chamber the size of a small telephone booth with a single mouthpiece. At the end of normal expiration, the mouthpiece is closed. The patient is then asked to make an inspiratory effort. As the patient tries to inhale (a maneuver which looks and feels like panting), the lungs expand, decreasing pressure within the lungs and increasing lung volume. This, in turn, increases the pressure within the box since it is a closed system and the volume of the box compartment has decreased to accommodate the new volume of the subject.

• Powerful Microsoft SQL database provides flexibility in accessing, manipulating and reporting data

• Report Designer enables user to configure custom and graphical reports

• Real-time help screens guide the operator through the entire testing process

• On screen alerts based on ATS/ERS criteria and standards assures quality results

• Available data management solutions include system connectivity, physician review station and electronic medical record interface

Easy Access for all Patients

• Patients can enter the chamber and be seated with minimum effort - no step-up required

• Complete spirometry, dilutional lung volumes and diffusing capacity can be performed outside the chamber

• Patient can easily be transferred from a wheelchair eliminating need for special ramps

• Single system accommodates a wide range of patients from small children to large adults

Advanced Digital Electronics

• ADC Module continuously monitors and adjusts analyzer to simplify operation performance

• Automatic gas calibration saves testing time
