Both the INTERACOUSTICS AT 235 IMPEDANCE AUDIOMETER and the INTERACOUSTICS AD 229 DIAGNOSTIC AUDIOMETER came from a working environment and should be working perfectly, nevertheless they have not been calibrated.
These units came from a university hospital and are guaranteed working even though we do not provide the calibration certificate for them.

These units were both used for air and bone frequencies for each ear and microphone and all were working fine. They have not been calibrated.

Diagnostic
Auto Threshold and Békésy The AD229 incorporates a function for performing threshold determination automatically. The test procedure is based on the Hughson-Westlake method (up 5dB, down 10dB) and conforms to ISO 8253. Desired test frequencies may be selected freely by the user.
The Békésy Test, featuring pure tone, pulsed tone or narrow band noise as stimuli as well as masking with narrow band noise, is incorporated. After testing the test results can be recalled from the memory of the AD229e or transferred to a PC for database storage or printing.
A buzzer is built in, allowing the operator to be informed about test status when doing automatic tests. ABLB / SISI / Stenger / Tone in Noise As well as the pre-programmed ABLB and SISI tests the AD229 can perform the Stenger Test with pure tones for evaluating malingering, or as a binaural speech test with a monophonic speech signal. The Langenbeck ”Tone in Noise” Test is also included.
Master Hearing Aid The AD229 has incorporated a 2 channel Master Hearing Aid for hearing aid simulation. The speech signal from the live voice microphone is transformed directly into digital signals, and all sound shaping filters thus work in the digital domain ensuring high sound quality.
Filters and Acoustic Gain can be selected individually for each channel. Printing PC connectivity provides options for data storage and full page reports via NOAH or the Interacoustics database software OtoAccess™.

Interacoustics Impedance Audiometer AT235h w/probe & TDH Tympanometer
This audiometer has been used previously and does show signs of cosmetic wear, minor scratches/scuffs but overall condition is very good. Please see all photos for more details.
The AT235 is an automatic middle ear analyzer ideal for screening evaluations. The primary design of the AT235 emphasizes ease of use without compromising testing flexibility.
Test batteries of the AT235 include standard tympanometry, ispsilateral and contralateral acoustic reflex and reflex decay and air conduction audiometry.
Automated tympanometry may be combined with 2 programmable reflex test batteries. Further manual reflex testing is available for more tests or to confirm/modify automated reflex results.
The AT235 allows more than 40 reflex tests per ear to be stored and printed. These capabilities provide the necessary tests for the majority of any clinic’s needs.
Normal Tympanometry:
Interacoustics utilize two beneficial techniques to acquire tympanograms. The first is an ‘endless airflow’ technique which improves the instrument’s ability to obtain a tympanogram on difficult to test patients or when a slight leak is present. This prevents the system from continually resetting to continue the test. The second feature is an intelligently controlled pump system with an adaptive speed control. This feature combines a very fast test speed with high resolution of the tympanogram peak which might otherwise be obtained only with a slower pump speed.
User definable reflex test:
Two user programmable acoustic reflex sequences are available allowing the user to define a simple screening procedure for test A and a more in-depth evaluation as test B. These protocols may be programmed and/or selected by the push of a button. The parameters for test A and B come with a factory default setting but are easily changed to better suit alternative clinical test routines. The protocols allow intensity presentations at fixed levels, in auto threshold mode or a defined sequence to display reflex growth. The AT235 allows mixing of ipsi and contra reflexes in the protocol as well as a variety of stimuli such as pure tones or noise bands. There are few limitations on storing and printing as more than 40 reflexes may be recorded per ear. All reflex testing may be done manually in addition to the automated routines
Decay – Contra and Ipsi:
Acoustic reflex decay testing is available with ispsilateral stimulation as well as with contralateral stimulation. The AT235 comes with a standard single TDH39 transducer for stimulating the contralateral ear.
