Rugged Rotator

Variable speed adjusts mixing action from a gentle slosh to rapid agitation. Driven by a continuous-duty motor, it can stand up to demanding schedules and long hours of operation.
Some of the procedures it can be used for are embedding electron microsocopy, tissue-culture specimens, blood cell suspensions, washing of precipitates, disintegrating tablets, extracting, dissolving slow-reacting samples, homogenizing blood solids with plasma, and rotating closed containers for dialysis bags.
A unique clamping device utilizes leverage to assure selected motor position and permits positioning of the motor at any point within a 110° arc.
Sturdy, stable, well-balanced, compact base handles substantial loads.
Cord-attached speed control module allows convenient placement to avoid danger when starting or stopping rotation.
Specifications
Rating: 1.4A, 50/60 HZ

Product Information
When it comes to getting the most accurate, reproducible results possible while working in the lab, nothing but the best equipment will do.
The well-made Glas-Col Tissue Culture Rugged Rotator will certainly fit the bill. Unlike a centrifuge, the Glas-Col rotator lets you keep your equipment under observation while operations are taking place. This gives you the ability to keep tight control over your work.
You can monitor your samples for unexpected color changes or search for leaks and take immediate remedial action. Resembling a sort of Ferris Wheel for test tubes, the Glas-Col Rotator is used to reproducible mix cultured cells.
This apparatus is handy for staining, labeling, and washing cultured cells. It can be used for preparing specimens for electron microscopy, rotating closed containers for dialysis bags, washing precipitates, disintegrating tablets, dissolving slowly reacting samples, and homogenizing blood samples.
Other applications include staining cells for immunocytochemical light or fluorescent microscopy, producing suspensions of blood cells, preparing a dilution series, or cloning cells. The tissue culture rotator features an enameled steel body with a 1/2-inch steel base plate that brings a high degree of durability to the table, and it provides you with extra peace of mind. Well balanced, sturdy, and stable, the rotator is easy to use and operates at normal laboratory temperatures.
It may also be used in a cold room if your experimental process requires a low reaction rate.
It may also be placed in a constant temperature oven or inside a hood for a process requiring a steady temperature.
The friction drive test rotator head easily hosts up to 31 tubes that measure 10 to 18 millimeters in diameter.
Alternatively, it can hold 16 tubes that are 22 to 30 millimeters in diameter.
Heads may be switched at the turn of a thumbscrew.
A 4-foot cord allows you to operate the unit at a distance from your experiments when safety is a concern.
Powered by a continuous-duty motor, the apparatus can withstand punishing schedules and long periods of operation.
In terms of electrical specifications, the device is rated at 1.4A, 50/60 Hz. The on and off switch is separate from the speed control.
The minimum speed is 2 RPM and the maximum speed is 83 RPM.
The lower speed produces a gentle mixing motion, while the higher speeds agitate the samples more vigorously.
The convenient placement of the speed controls module eliminates the hazard of having to reach around the load to start or stop the device.
The device dimensions of this series are 10.68 inches by 10.12 inches by 9.81 inches.
The Glas-Col Rugged Rotator has a load capacity of 5 pounds.
As any scientific laboratory researcher knows, funding is as precious as gold dust, and so is your reputation as a scientist.
Robust equipment is therefore not a luxury but rather a necessity.
The Glas-Col Rugged Rotator enables you to obtain information while preserving your precious biological material.

Fully tested and working perfectly.

This unit came from the Pharmacy School of a Federal University and has ALWAYS been very well taken care of.
