Original Sale Receipt is dated August 20th, 1890 to a Mr. Carpenter! Coincidence that a CARPENTER just like Jesus bought this Bible for $12 back in 1890.
We also found a small Banner from The Supreme Temple Patriarchal Circle Dated July 1899 inside it.

A leather-bound antique Bible in Gothic script. This book was published in the 1889.
This is a rare example in EXCELLENT condition for its age.

NONE of the pages are ripped.
This is an absolutely massive and stunning antique family Bible. Bound in leather and ornately embossed with gilt lettering.
Many illustrations (easily hundreds) throughout in color and black and white. Some very fine color lithography as well.
Approximately 13 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches thick and weighing over 10 lbs.
The cover is in VERY GOOD CONDITION as can be seen in the pictures. There is a slight crack on the second page as shown in the picture but can hardly be seen nevertheless we took a picture to show.
The cover board is tightly Bound, not loose at all as can be seen in the pictures.
The pages are tightly bound.
STYLE: German Gothic script
COLOR: Originally black with gilded elements. Brown leather is visible where rubbing has occurred.
SIZE: 19cm x 13cm x 6cm
CONDITION: Binding is good from the first pages down to the last as can be seen in the pictures.
Cover is Tightly Bound as can be seen in the pictures.
Some Rubbing to boards and gilding as can be seen in the pictures, normal for a Bible so old.
Inner pages are clean with no markings.
The Bible is embossed on the front and also the back cover as can be seen in the pictures.
